The location was ideal, with easy access to both the lake and popular tourist attractions. We were impressed by the warm welcome we received, even though we arrived early in the morning. The staff went above and beyond by preparing a gluten-free breakfast for me, which was delicious. The room was spacious and had hot water in the shower, ensuring our comfort. We also took advantage of the laundry service, which was convenient and efficient.
For dads, it would be great to have additional child-friendly amenities or activities available for families with children.

I recently stayed at Black Pepper in Udaipur for 5 nights as a solo traveler. The hosts, Dudi, Muki, and Durga, were amazing and made me feel at home. They provided great local advice, from things to do to finding a delicious dessert. The central location was quiet, with a rooftop area offering a relaxing view of the lake. The room was spacious, clean, and good value for money. They even helped me out when I left my necklace behind, sending it safely to Jodhpur.
Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

Perfect location in the heart of the old town, close to the lake and important landmarks. The cozy room had a comfortable bed and a spacious bathroom. We also appreciated the friendly and attentive staff who made us feel at home.
There were some inconsistencies in the information provided by the owner. For example, when we asked about a specific shop, we were told it didn't exist, but later found out that the owner had a friend who owned a similar shop.
